School Profile

International Christian School of Cascais

School Overview

The International Christian School of Cascais (ICSC) is a school that directs its attention and resources to the international community in Portugal providing schooling from 4 year old Kindergarten to Grade 12. We teach an American curriculum, mostly by Christian publishers, such as ACSI (Purposeful Design), Abeka, CSI, Bob Jones Press and more. Teachers are provided with a complete Teachers Edition, together with other support materials. We also have an online grading program (Gradelink) which is of great benefit to teachers, parents and students alike. ICSC is a member school of ACSI since 1983, with whom we keep a close relationship and we are fully accredited by the National Association of Private Schools (KG – 12).

Our combined classes are small (max 14 students per combined grade) providing students with individual attention and thereby we are able to accommodate each student’s learning pace and style. Being an international school, classes have great diversity, often with numerous different nationalities represented, and with so many different cultures it is an excellent opportunity for our students to learn to be more accepting and tolerant of each other’s differences. Students benefit from academic learning at our school, where they are taught to think from a Christian perspective and encouraged to fulfill God’s will for their lives.

Our mission is to assist families by providing quality education based on Biblical principles that inspire academic, social, physical and spiritual growth.
