School Profile

Lincoln School

School Overview

Lincoln School offers a place where teachers, who have been called by the Lord to serve Him in the field of education, can fulfill their calling. Besides having a Christian school in which to work, teachers will have the opportunity to relate to other Christian teachers and families in an international setting. Sixty percent of our staff are Mexican and forty percent are other nationalities.

Lincoln is a Christian non-denominational school of approximately 460 students from pre-K through 12th grade. Students come primarily from middle-class Mexican families, although we also have students from other countries including Korea, Canada, Japan, China, and the U.S. We implement an English immersion program in kinder and elementary that includes one or two hours of Spanish per day.

In junior and senior high we give the majority of subjects in English and at the same time are meeting the requirements of the Department of Education in Mexico and the University of Guadalajara. A variety of English and Spanish textbooks and materials from the U.S. and Mexico are used.

Our goal educationally is that our students will be bilingual by the end of their education at Lincoln. Our mission is to educate young people that will love God with all their heart, their mind, their soul, and love their neighbors as themselves. Not all of our students come from Christian families.

We are looking for people who are actively involved in their local church, who have a strong Christian lifestyle, and are open and excited about cross-cultural experiences. Teaching experience is helpful, but not necessary. We have experienced teachers who serve as mentors and coaches to those who are new to the profession.
