School Profile
Logos International School
School Overview
Founded in 2002, Logos International School is dedicated to academic excellence in providing a well-rounded, quality, Christian education to students from all ethnic backgrounds. Upon graduation, students will be equipped to view all aspects of life from a biblical perspective, to serve and help transform their communities for Christ, and to pursue further education. The vision of Logos International School is to assist parents in the nurture of their children by providing an academically challenging environment where children will learn about God through the study and practice of the Bible. Our staff are encouraged to be servant-leaders among our students in such a way as to honor and glorify God.
Logos International School’s curriculum is founded largely on North American standards and is strongly attached to our Expected School-wide Learning Results. It covers core areas of academics such as Bible, English, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science as well as a broad spectrum of non-core subjects. In elementary, students participate in Music, Physical Education, Swimming, Art, and Khmer language. In middle and high school, elective classes enrich the core curriculum. These classes include Yearbook, Graphic Design, Chorus, Band, Art, Physical Education, and Drama. For foreign language we offer Khmer and French. Several AP (Advanced Placement) classes are offered to junior and senior students, culminating with the internationally recognized AP exam. Team sports are a great way to teach teamwork and encourage personal fitness and health; students have the option of participating in volleyball, basketball, soccer and swim team.
The school has over 340 students from age 3 years to Grade 12 who come from Cambodia and more than 15 other countries. Approximately 25% of our students are from missionary families, while some 40% or our students are from non-Christian homes. Our facilities include a 25m swimming pool, two computer labs, cafeteria, covered gym, medium sized soccer pitch with artificial grass, medium sized library and a multi-purpose room seating 200+.

Notable Accomplishments / Recognition

Benefits
Logos provides round trip airfare, medical coverage and visas for our teachers and guarantee $650 - $750 US per month for their first two year contract (depending on a person’s certification and experience). This amount can be increased for those who choose to do raise funds for additional support (this is called deputized fund raising). Donations from U.S. citizens toward teacher salaries are tax deductible. Some teachers find that $650 a month can cover their modest living expenses, while many find that raising additional funds provides more stability and enjoyment for their time in Cambodia.
