School History
Monte Vista Christian School (also called MVCS) is an independent, co-educational, selective day and boarding school for young men and women in grades 6 through 12, offering a premier college-preparatory education, built on an International Baccalaureate foundation and offering IB distinguished diplomas, and it serves a diverse community of over 700 talented students from across the country and the world.
MVCS is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and the Association of Christian Teachers and Schools (ACTS).
Monte Vista Christian School is, and has been since 1926, situated on 100+ beautiful acres in Watsonville, CA (Santa Cruz County). The picturesque campus lies just 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean in the Monterey Bay area.
