Who are we and Why are we here?
Thirty-five years ago, New Covenant Christian School began as a response to the call of God for New Covenant Christian Church to partner with parents and churches in our region in the excellent preparation of “history-making” citizens of God’s Kingdom - encouraging students to develop their unique talents, gifts, and interests as they explore God's purposes for their lives, and grow in their relationship with the living God. We are now a PK4-Grade 12 school with nearly 400 graduates!
A wise friend recently stated that, in a school rooted in discipling generations to Christ and a kingdom biblical worldview, “We don’t find meaning in education, we bring meaning to education.”
The writer of Ecclesiastes summed it up this way:
Ecclesiastes 12:12-13 - Of making many books there is no end [so do not believe everything you read], and much study is a weariness of the flesh. All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of God's providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man. In fulfilling our mandate, we aspire to be a school which will:
-Be an outgrowth of the mission, vision, and core values of a church body which embraces, supports, and actively participates in the intensive and intentional equipping of the generations
-Work in close concert with homes and churches in a God-pleasing and life-transforming partnership in the life of each student
-Cultivate and provide an overall learning and school community environment that encourages each student's spiritual growth, discipleship, and passionate heart commitment to Christ
-Become a denominationally, culturally, and ethnically rich community of learners which demonstrates the unity and diversity of the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God
-Provide an academically excellent education from a biblical Christian worldview, utilizing curriculum and methods which address individual student needs while drawing on many foundational strengths of a classical and Christian model
-Work in close concert and coordination with various home-schooling parents and groups to facilitate ongoing and growing cooperation and support
New Covenant Christian School has a History in God's eternal plan , a Heritage in God's faithfulness, and a Hope for the future in God's promises!
