School Overview
New Testament Christian School is a church-sponsored, co-educational college-preparatory day school for students in Pre-Kindergaarten through grade 12, founded in 1972, committed to helping the student realize his/her full academic and spiritual potential. Our motto is: Educate the Mind, Ignite the Spirit, and Change the World. We are focused upon educating, equipping, and empowering our students all for the glory of God.
School History
New Testament Christian School (NTCS) was founded in the Fall of 1971 by several families of believers attending New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC). The school was commissioned to educate young people to go and make disciples for Jesus Christ in whatever vocation the Lord called them to. Due to continued growth, a larger building was constructed to provide more adequate facilities for the school with a larger space for church worship. Initially, admission to NTCS was only open to members of NTBC and churches associated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship; but as the school's reputation within the evangelical community grew, and as the congregation of the church increasingly viewed the local community as part of their given mission field, admission was opened in 1991 to other denominations and also to unchruched families who would fully agree to have their child(ren) educated within a Christian worldview and in line with New Testament's Statement of Faith. Today, while NTBC still has the largest representation within the school, nearly 50 churches from over a dozen denominations are represented within the NTCS family. The year 2013 will see the 35th senior class graduate from NTCS. Among the over-200 graduates are career missionaries, Christian and public school teachers, health care workers, college professors, tradesmen, military personnel, first responders, parents and pastors. And the mission for the school remains the same over these 40+ years... educate, equip, and empower our students, all to the glory of God.
