School Overview

Portersville Christian School has been providing Christian education since 1963. We are located in Butler County on 40 acres overlooking Lake Arthur. Our K-12 program includes rigorous academics, athletics, fine arts, and dual credit courses, all from a biblical worldview.
The vision of Portersville Christian School is to graduate students with a heart for God who are prepared to serve Him in every area of life.

School History

In 1963, the leadership at the Portersville Christian & Missionary Alliance Church (now the Portersville Alliance Church) decided to start a Christian school. This was in response to the US Supreme Court's decision that requiring prayer and Bible reading in public schools was unconstitutional. The church recognized that this was a monumental legal decision that would change the face of public education.

Over six decades later, the need for Christian education is more crucial than ever. Today, rather than being accepting of the Christian faith, our culture is resistant to the teachings of scripture. Instead of placing God at the heart of the curriculum, public schools are pushing Him out. At PCS, we educate students through a biblical lens, providing a strong foundation of truth to stand on as they grow and mature. Our goal is to graduate students who are confident in their faith and prepared to serve Him in every area of life. God has been gracious in His provision for PCS, and we look forward to continuing to partner with churches and families in Christian education for many years to come.
