Today, our students come from a mix of local Dominican, missionary, and international business families.Best-practices in teaching and high-quality curriculum are brought to life by faculty who come to SCS from around the world to make a difference in each child’s life. Our teachers are professionals who blend a passion for their craft with a passion for leading children to follow Jesus.

SCS is regionally accredited in the United States by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and by Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). SCS is recognized by the Dominican Ministry of Education as a “monolingual” school, a designation which allows us to offer all curricula (with the exception of Spanish, French, and Dominican social studies) in English. A school-wide, multi-layered student leadership and justice development program trains students of all ages to lead like Jesus: By serving. Students regularly serve their peers in five SCS partner schools in surrounding communities. Students start and finish their high school experience with multidisciplinary justice projects designed to get them started on a lifetime journey of advocating for justice in the Dominican Republic and around the world.
