Smithtown Christian School was established in 1978 as a ministry of Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle for the purpose of providing Christian Education to the surrounding community. The school currently serves over 465 students in pre-school through 12th grade.
The school uses the church’s well-maintained facilities during the school week, which includes classrooms, science labs, music suites, gymnasium, library, computer labs, kitchen & cafeteria, auditorium, large sanctuary, offices, and additional meeting space as needed.
Smithtown Christian School is a uniquely supportive, nurturing, and family-like atmosphere that fosters close communication among parents, students, faculty, and staff.
The mission of Smithtown Christian School is to teach with excellence in the classroom and through life-on-life influence to produce exceptional young Christian leaders with a heart for God, a mind for truth, and a passion to change the world. To carry out this religious mission, Smithtown Christian School, which is a ministry of Smithtown Gospel Tabernacle, employs likeminded people who through their speech, conduct, and ministry to students will further Smithtown Christian School’s mission.

Academic: We maintain a strong academic program and focus on engaging our students in the learning process to prepare them for college admission. We select and evaluate our own curriculum and have not adopted the Common Core and do not participate in NYS testing.
