School Profile
Three Rivers Christian School
School Overview
Welcome to Three Rivers Christian School (TRCS). We are a church-related elementary and secondary school and a child development center corporately owned by Northlake Church. The school is a non-profit organization supported by tuition and gifts. Three Rivers Christian School welcomes children of all nationalities and races.
Employees are an important part of carrying out our mission. We want every student to be challenged to reach their potential and we are committed to nurturing their spiritual, academic, physical, and social growth. Our intention is to prepare our students to be godly leaders in their homes, churches, and community.
Our elementary school offers an exceptional Christ-centered education for K-6 students. We seek out teachers who are not only certified and qualified - but who are highly relational and demonstrate love for children. We help students discover how Biblical teaching affects every area of life and encourage them to share their faith with others. All of our program elements are evaluated to be "academically excellent, culturally relevant, and joyfully Christian."
The Middle/High School campus seeks to educate students who will serve God and impact the world through Biblical thought and action. We believe the curriculum offers a comprehensive educational environment to enable each student to discover and develop his or her talents to better serve God wherever they may be called.
TRCS is uniquely equipped to offer outdoor experiences. Our eleven-acre elementary campus features open fields, raised-bed gardens, an orchard, two commercial greenhouses, outdoor classrooms, and a big blue barn. Students at all grade levels K-12 are able to get their hands dirty and participate in planting, growing, harvesting, and animal care (chickens, ducks, goats, horses). Our long-term goal is to use produce grown on campus to enrich our daily menus in the Early Learning Center and Elementary school.
Teachers must have the ability to articulate a Biblical worldview and consider themselves to be 21st Century educators who embrace current best practices. Teachers should exhibit a passion for teaching and working with students and uphold the highest standards of excellence professionally and personally.
School History
Using the Word of God as the center of its curriculum, TRCS is dedicated to partnering with parents to lay a strong foundation in children's lives. Begun in 1965 as the area's first daycare (originally named Longview Christian School), we have built a tradition of excellence in childhood education through the secondary grades. After combining with Cornerstone Christian School in 2004, our ministry has grown to serve over 500 students per year in the Lower Columbia region.
