Fact Sheet Early Childhood Education Program
Trinity Christian School of Palm Beach Gardens, a ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church, has been successfully promoting the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of preschool and kindergarten-aged children since 1967. Our tradition is one of excellence, whereby we incorporate hands-on learning, visual aids, and creative activities into our teaching methodology to provide our students with a well-rounded Christian education. The structure of our age-appropriate curriculum is designed to support early childhood development and promote academic learning. Additionally, we are committed to educating, nurturing, and caring for children in a safe, loving, Christian atmosphere. Our ultimate goal is to instill a love for learning and a positive self image for each and every student attending TCS.
Trinity Programs for 1 and 2 Year Olds focus on acquiring strong listening and language skills. Age-appropriate enrichment is offered through stories, songs, and dance whereby individual participation is encouraged. Free and creative play aids children in exploring the world around them. Number, Phonics, and Letter recognition is also introduced in the 1 and 2 year old program utilizing the A Beka curriculum. The student/teacher ratio is 5 to 1 for the one year olds and 6 to 1 for the two year olds.
Structured Preschool Classes for 3 and 4 year olds provide pre-kindergarten reading readiness skills using A Beka curriculum. Our primary focus for these age groups is to promote language, social, fine and gross motor, and listening skills through a variety of age-appropriate activities. Music, art, Bible stories, theme studies, and free play are also incorporated into the pre-kindergarten program. Special event programs are provided on-site throughout the year. The student/teacher ratio is 8 to 1 for the 3 year old classes and 10 to 1 for 4 year old classes.
Classroom hours are 9:00 a.m.—1:00 a.m. In addition to academic instruction, children enrolled in the 3 and 4 year old program attend chapel once a week. Spanish is also introduced during class. Students enjoy lunch in their classroom, as well as outdoor play and gardening observation. This well-established Early Childhood program has produced kindergarten-ready children for over 46 years.
Extended hours are available for children age 2 and above. Two and three year old children are welcomed into Extended Care until 3 p.m. Four year old children and above are welcome to remain in Extended Care until 5:30 p.m. Ages 2-4 are welcomed as early as 8:00 a.m.

Fact Sheet
Elementary Education Program
In all TCS kindergarten and elementary classes, children are taught the Bible in daily lessons and during weekly Chapel services. The Language Arts Program includes reading, grammar, creative writing, spelling, and handwriting. Our reading program allows children to progress at their own rate, which prepares them for higher achievements. Our high-energy program in mathematics, science, health, and social studies, which includes history and geography, produces students with strong critical-thinking skills.
Academic Instruction begins at 8:30 a.m.— 2:45 p.m. Our welcoming environment allows parents to walk their children to class between 8:15 a.m.—8:25 a.m. Students are welcomed into the class at 8:15 a.m. by the teacher. In practice with our discipline program, “Capturing Kids Hearts”, teachers greet each student at the door with a hug, a handshake, a high-five, or a simple verbal greeting, which ensures eye-contact to determine the student’s emotional needs for the day.
Children in Kindergarten and Grade 1 receive all core subjects under the instruction of their homeroom teacher. The children transition out of the classroom to attend all Fine Arts classes, which include P.E., Music, Spanish, Art, Science Lab, and Computer (please note: computer is offered in the classroom for kindergarten children). Changing classes and becoming familiar with a variety of lesson presentations prepares our children for the instructional practice utilized in grades 2-5.
In the 2014-15 school year, TCS adopted the Team Teaching Instructional Method for grades 2—5. Team teaching allows for each teacher to focus on the subject matter they have a passion to teach. It allows teachers to present 3-4 subjects, instead of the required 7-8 subjects. This instructional practice allows teachers to have a better understanding of content and more time to focus on the presentation of the content. Studies show better teacher preparation results in students being on-task, engaged, a higher level of thinking, and, ultimately ,a higher student achievement.
Fact Sheet
Middle School Education Program
In congruence with our Mission Statement, TCS implemented Middle School classes in the 2013-14 school year offering Sixth Grade. In the 2015-16 school year, the Middle School Program was complete offering grades 6th—8th grade. Offering Middle School allows families to continue the partnership with TCS in developing well-educated thinkers, leaders, and communicators with a strong biblical world view.
Student academic performance is measured and reported quarterly via report cards. In addition, all students complete the Terra Nova Standardized Tests to measure their yearly academic growth. The curriculum for Middle School includes both Christian and non-Christian publications. We train and trust our teachers to guarantee the truth is based on the standards of God’s word, as we present contradicting philosophies.
The preparation received in the TCS Elementary School will prepare the children to follow an academic track which would allow the middle school students to leave TCS with at least three high school credits (U.S. History, Algebra 1 and foreign language). The strong fine arts program will also prepare students who wish to pursue musical or artistic interests as a hobby or potential career. Course electives are offered for the school term, if concentrating on music or visual arts.
The Middle School students serve in a leadership capacity to the students who are enrolled in our preschool and elementary school. They also assist in leadership roles for community service and school projects. We believe that leadership skills can be developed and cultivated in students to become impactful individuals, and productive citizens.
Middles School hours are 8:00 a.m.—3 p.m.
