The Elementary Teacher at Riverside Christian School is responsible for providing a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures students spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The teacher will integrate biblical principles into all subject areas while encouraging students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and grow in Christian character.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Model a mature Christian lifestyle consistent with the school's Statement of Faith.
-Integrate biblical truth into daily instruction and classroom activities.
-Lead students in daily prayer, Bible lessons, and devotions.
-Encourage students to develop Christ-like attitudes, character, and behavior.
-Participate in chapel services, school-wide worship events, and spiritual activities.
Teach core academic subjects including:Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Bible, Handwriting (when applicable), Health
-Establish and maintain a positive, orderly, and safe classroom environment.
-Enforce school policies fairly and consistently.
-Maintain open, positive communication with parents and guardians.
Required Qualifications
-Demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and exhibit a Christian testimony consistent with biblical principles.
-Agree with and support the mission, philosophy, and Statement of Faith of Riverside Christian School.
-Bachelor's degree in any subject
-Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and families.
