Description
Cleburne Christian Academy is seeking a full-time First Grade Homeroom Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The teacher will provide engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction in reading, phonics, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and Bible while creating a warm, structured, Christ-centered classroom.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering daily instruction, assessing student progress, differentiating for varied learning needs, maintaining accurate grades and records, communicating regularly with families, and collaborating with the lower school team and administration. The teacher will intentionally integrate biblical truth throughout classroom instruction, relationships, discipline, and routines.
Faculty members also participate in chapel, staff meetings, professional development, spiritual formation, school events, and assigned duties. CCA offers the opportunity to teach in a smaller school community where teachers know students personally, partner closely with families, and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the school.
Requirements
Candidates must have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be actively involved in a local church, and fully support Cleburne Christian Academy’s statement of faith, mission, and values.
A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in elementary education or a related field is preferred. Texas teaching certification, ACSI certification, or willingness to pursue applicable certification is preferred. Prior elementary teaching experience is also preferred.
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of early literacy, phonics, foundational mathematics, developmentally appropriate instruction, classroom management, and student assessment. Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and relationship-building skills are essential.
The ideal candidate combines warmth with structure, genuinely enjoys young children, communicates well with families, welcomes feedback, and approaches teaching as both professional work and Christian ministry.
