Job Overview:

Hickory Grove Christian School seeking a highly qualified and experienced Elementary teacher. The ideal candidate will possess a deep commitment to their Christian faith, demonstrate an understanding of a Christian philosophy of education, and actively contribute to the formation of a biblical worldview. As an Elementary teacher, the candidate will play a pivotal role in inspiring students to explore language, literature, and communication skills through the lens of a Christian worldview.

Responsibilities:

• Classroom Instruction:

  • Conduct dynamic and interactive classes for students in Elementary that develop an understanding of language arts and the cultivation of students’ biblical worldview.

  • Utilize instructional strategies, technology, and resources that enhance learning experiences.

  • Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love for literature and language.

• Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Develop fair and comprehensive assessments that measure student progress.

  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on assignments, projects, and assessments.

  • Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.

• Classroom Management:

  • Establish a positive, dynamic classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.

  • Implement effective classroom management strategies that reflect a Christian philosophy of education.

Communication:

• Regularly communicate with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns

• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall program

Professional Development:

• Stay current with developments in elementary education, teaching methodologies, and educational technology, all while actively seeking opportunities to integrate a biblical worldview.

• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills, with a focus on a Christian philosophy of education and biblical worldview formation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

• ACSI or state certification.

• Previous teaching experience in Elementary school

• Strong knowledge of literature, grammar, and writing skills.

• Committed Christian with a demonstrated ability to integrate a biblical worldview.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment grounded in Christian values.
