Responsibilities
- Nurture a Christian classroom environment that integrates Biblical truths and the philosophy of Delaware Christian School into all phases of the assigned curriculum
- Create regular lesson plans with measurable objectives
- Evaluate the students’ academic performance
- Manage classroom behavior in a clear and consistent manner
- Build positive relationships with students and parents through regular communication and encouragement
- Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, faculty, and administration
- Promote and develop a positive school culture
- Work with teachers and administration to continually evaluate, develop, and enhance the school’s curriculum
- Demonstrate the characteristics of a life-long learner by attending professional development seminars and workshops
Specifications
Required
- 4 year degree
- Appropriate teaching credentials or ability to obtain necessary certification
- Ability to obtain and maintain ACSI teacher certification
Preferred
- 3 – 5 years teaching experience
