Requirements
Curriculum Development
The Director of Curriculum and Instruction is responsible for:
Overseeing the implementation, usage, and training of Rubicon Atlas.
Supervising the ongoing curriculum review cycle.
Ensuring the implementation of the school’s curriculum in all courses.
Provide appropriate training for teachers related to the curriculum & curriculum review process.
Ensuring the implementation and integration of the SLOs into the written curriculum.
Leading in the use of data to improve student learning.
Communicating with the information literacy specialist (librarian) to ensure their support of the
school’s curriculum.
Professional Development
The Director of Curriculum and Instruction will be responsible for:
Emphasizing the importance of the curriculum to the faculty.
Facilitating and conducting professional learning for staff in alignment with the school action plan
and professional development plan
Job Description

Overseeing the design of internal professional learning for staff
Coordinating with the HR department the keeping/filing of professional development
documentation.
Instructional Resources Purchasing and Care
The Director of Curriculum and Instruction will:
Manage the curriculum ordering process for the school.
Process orders in conjunction with the CFO and finance department
Inventory consumable and non-consumable textbooks.
Propose budgets for elementary, middle, and high school textbooks, e-books, and curriculum
resources.
Execute the implementation, distribution, and maintenance of elementary, middle, and high
school textbooks, e-books, and resources.
