- Director of Student Support - Part-time
Description
The Director of Student Support at Valor will work closely with the school's leadership team,
faculty, and families to ensure that all students receive the support and resources they need to
succeed academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the school's special education
programs and services
Identify and assess the needs of students with disabilities, including those with learning
disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs.
Work with faculty and staff to develop and implement Student Support Plans for students
with learning disabilities, ensuring that they receive appropriate accommodations and
support.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and outside professionals to provide a comprehensive
network of support for students with disabilities.
Provide ongoing training and support to faculty and staff on best practices for supporting
students with disabilities in the classroom.
Monitor student progress and adjust support services as needed to ensure that students are
making academic, emotional, and spiritual progress.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of individual student growth
Acts as a resource to administrators, teachers and parents for outside support services as
needed
Work with the principal to create and maintain a schedule of support services
Work with the principal to create and maintain a schedule for gifted services
