Music Teacher, K-8, Part-Time
NOTE: Strong drama background or Preschool music teaching may result in additional duties and compensation
MUSIC CLASSES
Lesson planning, selecting songs for chapels and school events, rehearsals, logistical planning, meeting and communicating with MS band/strings and drama teachers, meeting and communicating with tech team
K-3rd - weekly classes
4th-5th Elective - meets twice a week
Middle School Worship Team- meets once a week
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Elementary Chapels (K-5) - weekly - Wednesdays @ 8:30am - Selecting songs, rehearsing, sound check, communicating tech needs ahead of time
Middle School Chapels (6-8) - weekly - Wednesdays @ 10:00am - Leading Worship Team, selecting songs, rehearsing, sound check, communicating tech needs ahead of time
Elementary Spirit Assembly - weekly - Fridays 8:25am - Leading worship - Selecting songs, rehearsing
Choir Performances - Selecting songs, lesson planning for choirs, rehearsing with choirs, walk-through with choir and tech team, create presentation (pro-presenter) and email to tech team.
Christmas Program (create program, collaborate with band, strings and drama teachers, oversee all participants in addition to the choir)
Spring Concert
ACSI Choir Festival
Responsible for training students in the Statement of Faith of Calvary Church and the development, implementation, and assessment of the Calvary Christian School curriculum.
Staff- In-services - Leading worship - Selecting songs, rehearsing, organizing collaboration between other musically inclined staff members who may want to help
Qualifications (Personal and Professional)
An intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Requirements
Teaching choral music classes, leading worship in chapels and special events, leading choirs.
