Responsibilities

Demonstrate Commitment to Faith Christian School
* Be an active, engaged member of the school community * Attend and serve at school-wide events * Accept and uphold the FCS Statement of Faith
Efficiently Lead the Classroom
* Reflects the purpose of the school which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity and integrates Biblical principles and perspectives throughout all curriculums * Plan broadly alongside grade-level teams for the quarter and semester and incorporate a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students * Utilize valid teaching techniques to achieve curriculum goals within the framework of the school’s Mission * Employ a variety of instructional aids, methods and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social and emotional * Keep proper discipline in the classroom to maintain a good learning environment * Maintain regular and accurate attendance and grade records to meet the demands for a comprehensive knowledge of each student’s progress * Understand and implement all building emergency procedures
Cultivate Positive Relationships with Children and Families
* Connect relationally with children and families in interactions * Develop and maintain rapport with students and parents * Represent FCS in a favorable and professional manner * Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required * Keep students, parents and the Administrator adequately informed of progress or deficiencies and give sufficient notices of failure * Pray for the students and families you serve
Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone, Note, or Email)
* Manage communication requests in a timely, thorough manner * Build trust by maintaining confidential nature of communication of information * Respond to all communication with professionalism, discretion and a service orientation.
Other Administrative Duties
* Knowledge of FCS policies and procedures to assist with day-to-day operations * Assist in overseeing the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for school operations * Help staff, students and volunteers function efficiently and effectively * Lead in a positive manner * Assist in proper discipline in the classroom and on school property * Help cultivate a positive academic environment * Practice professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents or staff
Demonstrate a Commitment to Growth
* Receive and apply training and development from the Administrator and other professional development sources * Attend staff meetings * Demonstrate teachability and receptiveness to feedback
Model Servant Leadership and Exhibit a Helpful, Joyful Attitude
Perform Other Duties and Tasks as Assigned
Requirements
Qualifications
* Must have a strong and growing relationship with Jesus Christ * Must agree to the FCS Statement of Faith * Must uphold and support the FCS and Mission Statement and Core Values * Must be able to pass a criminal background check. * A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred * Must be willing to obtain a CPR certificate * Must have a professional attitude and appropriate appearance * Must have a servant’s heart
Physical Requirements
* Must be able to navigate all areas of the school quickly, including indoor and outdoor areas * Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time—up to 95% of work day * Must be able to bend and stoop to the child’s level * Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
