Requirements
Planning and Course Content
1. Plans and prepares effectively for each day and lesson.
2. Submits unit plans in a timely manner for the administrator’s review.
3. Appropriately meets curricular goals and objectives of curriculum guides.
Instructional Process
1. Guides the class to Christ and/or biblical truth.
2. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and interest in subjects taught
3. Applies classical method for subject and grade level being taught.
4. Teaches content with a fully immersed Christian worldview.
5. Consistently monitors learning and checks for understanding.
6. Incorporates modeling and guided practice in teaching.
7. Uses clear language appropriate to the level of the students.
8. Maintains the student’s active interest in the lesson.
9. Integrates subject areas within the curriculum.
10. Connects the unfamiliar with what is already familiar to the students.
11. Motivates/inspires all students to excel to the best of their ability.
12. Knows the needs, interests, and learning characteristics of each student.
13. Consistently incorporates review in lessons.
14. Uses appropriate homework for drill, review, and enrichment.
15. Promptly grades and provides constructive feedback on assignments.
16. Provides challenge and rigor.
17. Lessons are paced well for maximum learning.
Classroom Management
1. Communicates clear behavior standards.
2. Consistently maintains classroom and school standards.
3. Aware of off-task behavior and takes appropriate action.
4. Creates smooth transitions and maximizes classroom time.
Classroom Climate
1. Is positive, encouraging, and respectful in the classroom.
2. Establishes & maintains individual and group rapport in and out of classroom.
3. Keeps classroom organized, neat, and aesthetically pleasing.
Communication/Collegiality
1. Proactively partners with parents by informing them of student difficulties and successes; works with parents to implement a plan of action.
2. Informs administration of academic or behavioral issues and works together to resolve problems.
3. Takes initiative to contribute to school community; participates in activities with students and colleagues.
4. Demonstrates flexibility and adapts easily to change.
5. Shares opinions graciously and constructively.
6. Contributes to a positive and edifying faculty culture; seeks to build relationships across grade levels.
7. Consistently exhibits spiritual maturity in daily work and in relationships.
Professionalism and Professional Development
1. Proactively seeks advice and help.

3. Attends required events consistently and observes required hours.
