New Life Christian School exists to develop Christian World Changers who are rooted in faith, committed to service, and dedicated to
academic excellence. We serve students from Preschool 3 through 12th grade, in a Christ-centered, mission-driven learning community
that partners closely with families.

Position Summary
New Life Christian School is seeking a qualified and passionate Elementary Teacher to serve students in grades K–5.
This educator will provide a nurturing, structured, and engaging classroom environment while delivering high-quality instruction
rooted in biblical truth and a Christian worldview.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement engaging learning experiences for preschool students.
Create a safe, welcoming, and organized classroom environment.
Support students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development.
Integrate biblical truth and a Christian worldview throughout daily instruction and activities.
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to support student success.
Maintain accurate records and complete required reporting through FACTS.

Educational Qualities: 

Bachelor’s degree in Early Ed/Elementary Education or a related field (Master’s preferred)
State or ACSI teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification) preferred
Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred
Knowledge of best practices in elementary instruction and assessment
Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Spiritual Qualities:
Personal faith in Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with biblical principles
Agreement with and support of the school's Statement of Faith
Active involvement in a Bible-believing local church.
Commitment to serving as a Christian role model for students and families
 
Professional Qualities:
A clear Christian testimony and active relationship with Jesus Christ
Commitment to Christian education and the mission of New Life Christian School
Patience, flexibility, and a heart for working with students
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Professional demeanor, integrity, and strong communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a faculty team
Flexibility and willingness to teach across multiple grade levels

Physical Demands:
The school is a multi-level facility that requires the teacher to negotiate flights of stairs regularly and to walk around the buildings and grounds for supervision. 
Candidates must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, operate office equipment with dexterity, and lift at least 25 pounds. 
Occasionally, the teacher must work longer hours than a typical day for events such as back-to-school night, parent-teacher conferences, team meetings, open houses, graduation, or other evening meetings/functions.
