Tri-State Christian School is seeking a full-time 1st grade teacher. This position would begin in August of 2026 and run concurrent with the 2026-27 school year.

• Exhibit a heart for student discipleship and spiritual mentorship
• Possess a call to teach in a Christian School
• Actively engaged in the life and ministry of an evangelical church

• Demonstrate leadership befitting a teacher of a Christian school
• Support and uphold the school’s Statement of Faith and Professional Code of Conduct
• Demonstrate Christ-like character in attitude, speech, and conduct
• Practice biblical conflict resolution and promote unity within the school community

Key Responsibilities:

• Study, pray and seek out God’s direction in their teaching ministry while employed at TSCS.
• Implement school programs, policies, and procedures under the Principal’s direction
• Prepare and follow a personal plan for spiritual, professional, and personal growth
• Collaborate effectively with the principal, staff, parents, and others
• Work with the principal to achieve curriculum objectives
• Review lessons and student evaluation results to determine if student needs are being met
• Assess teaching performance through self-evaluation and reflection
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
• Develop and enhance the school program
• Foster students’ spiritual maturity by integrating, applying, and communicating Biblical truth

Requirements

Professional Requirements:

• B.A. or B.S. in Education
• Exemplary people skills
• Administrative and organizational abilities
• Basic computer proficiency
• Effective communication skills
• The ability to lift at least 25 pounds
• The ability to pass a mandatory background check
• Approachable, collaborative, and enthusiastic about Christian education
• Discerning, discreet, and able to maintain confidentiality
