Description
Shalom Christian Academy is seeking a mature follower of Jesus Christ and a gifted educational executive to serve as our Head of School Education.
Located on a beautiful campus in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Shalom Christian Academy is a vibrant PreK through 12th grade community. We are fully accredited by ACSI and MSA-CESS, and partnered with the Mennonite Education Agency.

As the chief academic leader of Shalom Christian Academy, the Head of School Education provides vision, leadership, and oversight for all educational programs in strict alignment with our mission, Statement of Faith, and biblical worldview. This person will partner with our Head of School Administration to lead our school.
This full-time, 12-month administrative executive is responsible for cultivating a distinctly Christ-centered culture of learning. You will intentionally integrate academic excellence, spiritual formation, character development, and kingdom service into every division of the school experience, equipping both students and teachers to pursue truth, wisdom, and excellence for the glory of God.

Requirements
Required
- Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field
- Administrative certification/principal licensure
- 7+ years of successful classroom teaching experience
- 3+ years in educational leadership roles (department chair, dean, etc.)
- Current teaching certification/license
- Demonstrated success in curriculum development and instructional leadership
- Strong data analysis skills for educational assessment and improvement
Spiritual Qualifications
- Demonstrates a mature and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Demonstrates an appreciation for the historic Anabaptist heritage of Shalom Christian Academy and is committed to leading in a manner that honors and advances the school's mission, Statement of Faith, and Christian educational philosophy.
- Actively involved in a local Bible-believing church through regular attendance, service, and leadership as appropriate.
- Fully supports and models the school's Statement of Faith, mission, and core values.
- Possesses the ability to articulate and integrate a biblical worldview into educational leadership and decision-making.
Preferred
- Doctoral degree in Education or related field
- Experience with diverse student populations and inclusive education practices
- Background in educational technology integration
- Knowledge of current educational research and best practices
