Description
Timothy Christian School has an opening for a full-time High School Biology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, collegial individuals who want to work in a collaborative academic setting.
Under the general supervision of the High School Principal, the teacher will develop students' skills and competence in the field of Biology. The successful candidate will:
- Promote critical and creative thinking and analysis in all related subject areas. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
- Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of science to everyday existence, including scientific research projects, demonstrations, experiments, and laboratory activities.
- The teacher will strive to equip students to live productive, God-glorifying lives through the implementation of the school’s curriculum.
- Most importantly, the teacher serves as the living curriculum by acting as a godly role model in Christian thought and action. The teacher, in partnership with parents, will utilize various methods of instruction and assessment to enable students to learn.
Requirements

The teacher must have received Jesus Christ as his/her Savior and believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for daily living.

The teacher shall support the doctrinal position of TCS and will abide by the Standard of Conduct.

The teacher shall be in fellowship with a local church that has a doctrinal position consistent with that of TCS and support its ministry through regular attendance and participation.

The teacher must hold a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and be ACSI certifiable in their related teaching area.

The teacher shall see teaching as a “calling” from God and agree with the school’s philosophy of education and instruction.
