Job Posting: Part-Time/Adjunct Faculty (Onsite)– Gray Road Christian Academy (High School - Grades 9-12)
Gray Road Christian Academy is launching a new missional, inner-city private Christian high school serving grades 9–12. We are seeking dedicated part-time/adjunct faculty to join our team in delivering engaging, academically rigorous instruction in the following subject areas:
Social Studies/ Mathematics/ Science/ English-Language Arts /Physical Education / Spanish
Position Details:
Role: Part-time/adjunct faculty (Onsite)
Courses: 1-2 courses per assignment
Schedule: Each course meets twice weekly for 80 minutes (160 minutes total per week)
Hybrid Office Hours: Three (3) hybrid office hours are required weekly for faculty
Salary: $10,000 per course (Aug-May) in alignment with GRCA academic calendar
Position Responsibilities:
Plan and execute instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Employ a variety of instructional practices, resources, and technologies to support the needs and capabilities of individuals and/or diverse student groups.
Create, maintain, and foster a supportive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
Assess student progress utilizing a grade book and communicate with parents and families on an ongoing basis, providing progress reports as required.
Prepare for assigned classes and submit lesson plans to the Head of School/CEO.
Attend faculty/staff meetings, engage in professional development, and participate in other institutional events; serve on GRCA committees.
Maintain regular attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School/CEO as outlined in the GRCA Faculty Handbook.
Requirements
Position Qualifications:
A. Bachelor's degree in the relevant field or a closely related discipline.
B. Faithful Christian with a committed, active personal faith.
C. Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor diverse learners.
D. Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
E. Ability to integrate faith-based perspectives with curricular standards in a respectful, academically rigorous manner.
F. Contributes & maintains a professional, respectful, positive attitude toward GRCA colleagues and students.
Preferred Qualifications:
A. Graduate degree in the relevant field or a closely related discipline
B. Teaching or tutoring experience at the high school level
C. Familiarity with classroom technology and online/hybrid teaching tools
