Trinity Oaks Christian Academy is seeking an outstanding high school math teacher.
The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and highly effective educator who can skillfully integrate his or her Christian faith with their academic content area and our curriculum.

Job summary:
The high school mathematics teacher is someone who loves working with students and is responsible for teaching the most advanced levels of the mathematics curriculum, including Calculus AB, Calculus BC, AP Calculus AB, and Statistics. This teacher facilitates deep learning by creating a rigorous and engaging classroom environment in which each student is challenged to reach his or her highest academic potential. The teacher intentionally integrates a Biblical worldview into instruction, helping students recognize that mathematics reflects the order, consistency, and truth of God’s created world.
This position requires a strong command of higher-level mathematics and the ability to guide students in developing conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. The teacher will help students build a robust mathematical foundation, appreciate the beauty and structure of advanced mathematics, and apply their knowledge to complex and real-world problems.
Requirements
Core competencies include:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate must be able to convey information and ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner.
A firm understanding of and a passion for working with High School students
Appropriate level of subject-matter knowledge, at least a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
Skill at establishing learning objectives for students consistent with curriculum objectives.
Ability to plan diverse, effective, creative and engaging lessons that include: interactive discussion, understanding and application of knowledge, and the nurturing of problem solvers and critical thinkers.
Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive classroom environment.
Willingness and ability to foster an affirming yet challenging environment where innovation and creativity are celebrated.
Broad and diverse pedagogical skills.
Willingness and desire to maintain excellent communication with parents; build interactive relationships and address family needs within the parameters of the Trinity Oaks mission.
Proficient in the use of technology.
Keeps accurate records, ensuring that students are progressing appropriately and monitors progress through report cards, computer grading program, and other methods.
Willingness to participate in school-based committees, in cooperative effort with other faculty and staff.
Seeks out, attends, and participates in ongoing professional development activities.
Attends and supports school-sponsored student activities, and periodic parent partnership events.
Physical demands:
Must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time; exhibit manual dexterity to dial a telephone, to enter data into a computer; to see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal classroom levels, outdoors and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in normal classrooms, outdoors and on the telephone; physical agility to lift up to 25 pounds; to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.
