Description
NorthPoint Christian Academy is looking for candidates for the 2026-2027 school year to be certified/licensed and have a passion for growing students. As a NorthPoint educator, you will be responsible for delivering high quality instruction in the content area of mathematics, ranging from Algebra 1 to Calculus. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with all students that will allow them to grow both academically and spiritually. Candidates will need to be able to adhere to the schools' statement of faith.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in mathematics.
Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
Assess and evaluate student performance through testing and provide feedback.
Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to enhance student understanding of mathematical concepts.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development to improve instructional practices.
Provide individualized support and tutoring to students as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or Education
Teaching certification for secondary education
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
Proficiency in teaching various math subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus
Familiarity with standardized testing and tutoring methods
