Description
Abundant Life International School (ALIS-Cambodia) is seeking an experienced high school principal for the English language program for the 2026-2028 school years. It is expected that the initial contract can be renewed for additional years. The K-12 school serves 1800 students and is located in the capital city of Phnom Penh. The school is ACSI and WASC accredited for grades 6-12. All Cambodian students participate daily in the required Khmer language courses supervised by the Cambodian principal, and all students also are enrolled in the US based Christian curriculum.
The school is seeking an experienced school leader who has the capacity to supervise all academic practices including curriculum, assessment, teacher evaluation, and student conduct. The principal will be assisted by support staff in the areas of guidance, student activities, and curriculum development. ALIS high school students are also enrolled in dual credit courses with Grand Canyon University. The principal will be a member of the Academic Leadership Team.
- Develop, supervise, and maintain an effective educational program consistent with the Christian philosophy of education, mission, vision, and purposes of the school.
- Provide academic rigor that prepares students for higher education in the US and other international English speaking countries.
- Lead a school culture that is consistent with the Christian identity of the school and is respectful of the culture, language, and practices of the Cambodian community.
- Provide a professional learning community for the school staff and leads in training, developing, and modeling effectiveness.
- Is an example as a Christian leader in all aspects of personal, family, and God-honoring professional conduct.
Requirements
- Must be a sincere and experienced Christian leader with a clear testimony of faith in Christ
- A doctorate or master's degree in education with high school leadership experience
- Agrees to the academic goals, vision, mission and philosophy of ALIS-Cambodia
- Agrees to the philosophy and mission of the school and is respectful of the Cambodian culture, the board and governance of the school, and supports the decisions of the school headmaster.
- Experience with faculty supervision, assessment (including PSAT, SAT, ACT etc), curriculum development, student management, and guidance
- Models the Christian graces in all relationships and conduct
- Is an example to all the school staff and encourages excellence to all of the school staff members
