Certifications: ACSI certification preferred and/or State teaching certification

Description: Established in 1982, Texoma Christian is a fully accredited PK-12 Christ-centered,
college-preparatory, independent school located on a 55-acre campus north of Dallas, Texas. TCS exists
to develop fully each student’s God-given spiritual, intellectual, and physical potential to influence the

Requirements

Professional Duties
Able to effectively teach from a Christian perspective while integrating a biblical worldview
throughout the curriculum
Able to effectively teach all students with expertise in both subject content and pedagogy.
Able to effectively create meaningful and relevant lessons to engage all students authentically
Able to create and maintain a safe learning environment using effective classroom management
techniques to maximize student learning
Possess an understanding of the various types of assessment to measure student understanding
and inform instructional practices
Possess an understanding of collecting, analyzing, and implementing all forms of data to drive
classroom instruction
Willingness to travel for overnight retreats or short-term missions
Strong written and communication skills to collaborate with parents, students, and faculty/staff
Supervise the daily functioning of the school, extracurricular activities, and school functions as
assigned by the administration
Participation in orientations, trainings, meetings, and activities promoting the school’s mission and
vision with excellent attendance and punctuality
Evidence of a Christian testimony with a deep desire to share with students and families while
being a Christian role model
Experience in Christian, private schooling preferred
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Ability to lift 25 lbs on occasion
