Description
The STEM teacher would teach a variety of junior and senior high STEM classes (see examples in job requirements). This is a full-time position, but could be part-time based on the employee's availability. Westlake is a discipleship-oriented school, thus excellent academics must be accompanied by sincere Christian commitment.
Requirements
- Prepare for and teach STEM classes in grades 7-12, which may include classes like:
Earth Science
Intro to Engineering
Applied Math and Science
Physics
Pre-algebra
Intro to STEM
Computer Science - Provide and execute weekly lesson plans and maintain curriculum maps.
- Assess learning and record grades regularly.
- Attend all required faculty meetings and in-service days.
- Contribute to the faculty Professional Learning Communities on Friday mornings.
- Support the community life of the school through participating in special events, retreats and field trips.
