Description

Firelands Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School / High School Science Teacher who is a committed Christian educator, passionate about teaching science to middle and high school students and helping them develop an appreciation for God's creation. The teacher will demonstrate strong instructional skills, a love for learning, and the ability to engage students through hands-on experiences, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry.  Because our school is a close-knit Christian community with a small faculty, the ideal candidate will also possess a flexible, servant-hearted attitude and be willing to teach additional subjects or electives as needed.

Requirements

Responsibilities Include:

Teach junior high and/or high school science courses (such as Earth and Space, Chemistry, Biology, Physical Science etc.)
Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with school curriculum and academic standards
Integrate biblical worldview and Christian values into instruction
Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, tests, and projects
Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and administration
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
Support extracurricular activities as needed
