Description

The Fernandina Beach Christian Academy (FBCA), located on Amelia Island in Northwest Florida, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Middle School Mathematics Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This position is a full-time, salaried and exempt ministry position. 

Upon administrative review, select candidates will be contacted for applications and scheduling interviews.

Requirements

• Teach 6th-8th grade Mathematics (up to Algebra 1) aligned to designated curriculum and standards.
• Provide Christ-centered instruction within a Biblical worldview.
• Establish a positive, respectful, and structured class environment that promotes student learning.
• Administer assignments, tests, and projects to assess student understanding and academic growth..
• Grade student product and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
• Keep detailed records of student performance and progress (grades, attendance,behavior, etc…)
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Uphold the FBCA Statement of Faith, mission, and values.
• Supervise students during assigned duties (e.g., before/after school, lunch, events) as needed.
