Description
Report: to Deputy Head of School
Role: to manage and coordinate daily school operations to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient facilities, housing, transportation, and campus services, to include, but not limited to, the following:
- Coordinate with the Senior Leadership Team on capital improvement and large facilities projects.
- Oversee facilities maintenance, inspections, and preventive work schedules.
- Ensure government reports (facilities, vehicles, fire/safety, prefectural) are completed on time.
- Serve as first responder for emergencies (fire, earthquake, campus housing) and security alarms.
- Manage on-campus and off-campus housing assignments and address resident needs.
- Lead typhoon preparation and response procedures.
- Monitor the operations budget and related contracts.
- Support and guide operations staff to carry out their duties effectively.
- Serve as lead of the Occupational Health and Safety Committee, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe and healthy campus environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Meet or exceed board mandated qualifications (B2.2.1)
- Must possess an advanced degree and/or a minimum of 5 years operations management experience.
- Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and job-relevant systems preferred.
- Bilingual (Japanese and English) required.
- Be willing to complete additional duties as assigned.
