West Valley Christian Preschool is a vibrant, Christ-centered early learning community serving up to 70 students annually, ages 2 through Pre-K. Prospective staff and families can explore our dynamic program through an engaging website and YouTube channel that showcase classroom life, special events, and student experiences.
Located on a beautiful campus shared with Valley Christian Church and School, our preschool features exceptional facilities—including a 9,000-square-foot gymnasium, a 400-seat staged auditorium, a grass field, and shaded turf play areas. As part of a TK–8th grade program, we provide a strong and seamless foundation for students and families to grow within a thriving Christian school community.
We are seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Preschool Director to lead and grow our early education program. This is more than an administrative role—it is an opportunity to shape the formative years of children while building a Christ-centered culture that partners with families and prepares students for lifelong success.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader, visionary communicator, and experienced educator who is passionate about developing the whole child—socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually—while building systems that support long-term program growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations
Provide overall leadership and direction for all preschool operations
Oversee staffing, scheduling, licensing compliance, and daily program execution
Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-quality teachers and staff aligned with the mission
Establish and maintain systems that support organizational excellence and accountability
Ensure full compliance with California Title 22 licensing requirements
Academic Excellence & Student Growth
Implement and continuously strengthen a developmentally appropriate, Christ-centered curriculum
Monitor student progress and readiness for transition into Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten
Collaborate with elementary leadership to ensure strong academic alignment and continuity
Team Development & Culture Building
Lead, mentor, and develop preschool staff through coaching and professional development
Build a collaborative, joyful, and growth-oriented team culture
Set clear expectations, roles, and performance standards for all team members
Enrollment Growth & Community Engagement
Lead efforts to grow and sustain healthy enrollment through marketing, outreach, and relationship-building
Partner with families to create a highly engaging and connected preschool experience
Plan and oversee events, programs, and communications that strengthen community and visibility
Communication & Vision Casting
Communicate clearly and consistently with parents, staff, and school leadership
Champion and articulate the vision and value of Christian education to prospective families
Share the story and impact of the preschool through newsletters, email, and digital platforms
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required)Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in early childhood education, including leadership responsibilities
Must meet or be eligible to meet California Title 22 Preschool Director qualifications
Strong understanding of child development, curriculum design, and classroom best practices
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and build effective systems
Excellent communication, organizational, and relational skills
Faith & Mission Alignment
