Role Description
Lighthouse Primary & Secondary School is seeking a Part-Time Primary School Counsellor to support student wellbeing and deliver a strong, preventative pastoral care and counselling programme within our Christian School.

Key Responsibilities include
Individual student counselling (stress, conflict, wellbeing, academic pressure)
Design and deliver whole-school programmes (Life Skills, Health, Mental Health Awareness, exam support)
Small groups and presentations (bullying, grief, self-worth, social skills, resilience)
Partner with families and support student goal-setting and future planning
Collaborate with staff and leadership in critical incidents and student care planning
Uphold safeguarding procedures and maintain confidential counselling records

Requirements

We are looking for someone who is:
Owner of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in school counselling, education, or a related field.
Student-centered, compassionate, and professional
Skilled in adolescent counselling and preventative education
A strong collaborator with staff and families
Committed to child safeguarding and confidentiality
Able to serve within a Christian school environment
