Description
Tri-State Christian School is seeking a full-time Secondary Math Teacher (JH&HS). Interested applicants should email their resumes and testimonies to Mrs. Amy Rush ([email protected]).
The main duties and responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:
1. Study, pray and seek out God’s direction in their teaching ministry while employed at TSCS.
2. Implement school programs, policies, and procedures under the Principal’s direction
3. Prepare and follow a personal plan for spiritual, professional, and personal growth
4. Collaborate effectively with the principal, staff, parents, and others
5. Work with the principal to achieve curriculum objectives
6. Review lessons and student evaluation results to determine if student needs are being met
7. Assess teaching performance through self-evaluation and reflection
8. Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning
9. Develop and enhance the school program
10. Foster students’ spiritual maturity by integrating, applying, and communicating Biblical truth
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have earned a B.S/B.A. Degree in Education with successful student teaching experience and/or a degree in mathematics with experience in education. The candidate should have a definite call to teach in a Christian School. In addition, the candidate must be a mature born-again Christian believer, capable of modeling exemplary Christian character and leadership befitting a teacher of a Christian school.

3. Basic computer proficiency.
4. Effective communication skills.
5. The ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
6. The ability to sign the TSCS Statement of Faith and Professional Code of Conduct
7. Actively engaged in life and ministry of an evangelical church
8. The ability to provide a written testimony of faith in Jesus Christ as Savior.
9. The ability to pass a mandatory background check.
