SEN Teacher – Asian Hope International School (Cambodia)

Asian Hope International School (AHIS) is seeking a qualified, mission-minded SEN teacher to join our inclusive school and growing Special Educational Needs department.

This is more than a teaching role. It is an opportunity to serve some of the most vulnerable children in Cambodia; students who often have little to no access to appropriate education or support outside of schools like ours.

At AHIS, you will join a collaborative and supportive team, led by an experienced SENCO, working together to provide meaningful, individualized support for students with diverse learning needs.

Our school is committed to resourcing our SEN department and our developing SEN program includes:

• Two sensory integration gyms
• Dedicated intervention rooms
• A printing lab workshop for vocational training
• A school coffee shop and cooking space for life skills development

SEN teachers at AHIS:

Develop and implement Personal Education Plans (PEPs) in partnership with classroom teachers
Provide targeted interventions for students with a range of needs
Support older students through a life skills and vocational program, including cooking, small business, and workplace readiness
Equip and lead local teaching assistants, building capacity within our Cambodian team

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualified SEN teacher/teacher with SEN experience (minimum Bachelor in Education or Bachelors + teaching certificate (or equivalent)
Commitment to student-centered learning, collaboration and inclusive education 
Ability to model faith and character, supporting a spiritually and emotionally nurturing environment.
Lifelong learner, positive attitude towards professional development 
Prior experience preferred, but not essential - new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Monthly salary starting at USD 1,250, up to $2000 for experience (before tax) with annual increments

Settling-in allowance ($500 single / $700 married teaching couple)

Initial 2-year contract (22 months) is expected
