Classroom Teacher Position Summary
Immanuel Christian School is seeking a qualified and Christ-centered Classroom Teacher to provide engaging instruction in an elementary or secondary learning environment. The teacher will foster academic growth, support students’ spiritual and personal development, and maintain a positive classroom culture under the supervision of the Principal.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective, engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Create a classroom environment that promotes active learning and student success.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain accurate academic and attendance records.
• Utilize instructional technology to enhance learning and differentiate instruction.
• Establish and maintain appropriate classroom management and discipline.
• Communicate regularly with parents, students, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities.
• Support the mission and values of the school through professional conduct and collaboration.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field required.
• Valid teaching credential/certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Commitment to Christian education and the mission of the school.
• Proficiency with educational technology and classroom management practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, and use standard classroom and office equipment.
• Occasional lifting or moving of up to 10 pounds may be required.
