Description

Teaches 5th grade Language Arts subjects (reading, vocabulary, grammar, writing) as assigned using curriculum resources, supplementary materials, and technology in accordance with instructional objectives.  Collaborates with colleagues, leads field trips and utilizes guest speakers and special activities to enhance student learning.  
 
Responsible for evaluating student performance, communicating with parents, and providing classroom accommodations and differentiation of instruction as possible to meet student needs.  
 
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly classroom learning environment for students. 
 
Responsible for establishing and developing parent relationships to create effective partnerships for the benefit of students. 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Bachelor’s degree in education or related subject 
Unrelated Bachelor’s degree and/or years of teaching experience will be considered 
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Experience teaching grammar and writing a plus
