Fine/Performing Arts Teacher Job Description
Franklin Christian Academy is currently seeking a versatile and experienced Fine/Performing Arts Teacher - preferably with a strong background in music education/theater performance - to join our dynamic Fine Arts faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching music, drama, directing theater performances throughout the year.
Fine/Performing Arts Teacher Key Responsibilities:
Teach a Middle School Fine Arts class introducing them to various elements of music, singing, acting, stage performance, and visual arts.
Teach a High School Performing Arts class developing their musical, vocal, acting, and stage performance skills.
Oversee all aspects of the Middle and High school performance opportunities throughout the year.
Foster a positive learning environment where students feel supported and encouraged to explore their creativity.
Collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents to support and enhance the Fine Arts program.
Uphold the values and principles of Franklin Christian Academy and contribute to a Christ-centered school culture.
Assist colleagues with Performing Arts performances throughout the year.
Provide individualized feedback and guidance to students to help them grow as performers and artists. Fine/Performing Arts Teacher Qualifications:
Love Jesus and be committed to living a Christ-centered life, demonstrating the love of Jesus to students and all of our school community.
Bachelor's degree in Fine/Performing/Theater Arts, Music Education/Performance, or related field.
Strong background in singing and acting, with experience performing in theater/musical theater productions.
Prior Fine/Performing Arts and/or Music teaching experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, colleagues, and parents.
