We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join the Faith Christian Academy family in Hurt, Virginia. Our PreK-12 school is located on a beautiful campus in a country setting. We offer a quality Christian education with a focus on raising the next generation of spiritual champions. We are a growing school celebrating our 36th anniversary. Our average class size is 15 students, allowing for individualized attention and opportunities for building relationships.

Requirements

• Born again believer actively involved in their local church
• Bachelor's degree in English, English education, or a related field
• Competency in teaching grammar, reading, research, and writing
• Dedicated to teaching English and literature from a Biblical worldview
• A state teaching license is not required; we will assist with obtaining ACSI certification
• Provide tutoring and additional support for students who require extra assistance.
• Assess student performance through regular testing, assignments, and proofreading of their work.
• Maintain open communication with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress and needs.
