Description
North Henry Academy serves students from K3 through twelfth grade in a caring, Christ-filled atmosphere. NHA has a thirty-year history of excellence partnering with parents to provide and excellent, quality, Christ-centered education in northern Henry County, Georgia, and is currently seeking an Upper School Math Teacher for the 2026 - 2027 school year.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus and a love for children
- Actively attending and serving in an Evangelical Church
- Adherence to a Christian lifestyle
- A bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or similar field of study from an accredited college or university
- Georgia or ACSI certification, or willingness to pursue it
- The ability to plan, organize, and deliver instruction in foundational subject matter
- The ability to manage the classroom environment to maximize learning
- Willingness to pray with and for students
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans that align with the mission and vision of the Academy
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Utilize different teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement educational programs
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns
- Provide guidance and support to students in their social-emotional development
- Foster a love of Christ through engaging and interactive lessons
