WZFS is seeking a versatile and mission-driven Humanities educator to join our thriving international faculty. This role is designed for a teacher who can inspire curiosity across several key disciplines—Geography, Economics, and Business Studies—while helping students excel in globally recognized Cambridge qualifications.
Role Overview
You will deliver the Cambridge IGCSE and A Level curriculum across the Humanities department. Since our student body is predominantly composed of English Language Learners (ELL), we are looking for an educator who can scaffold complex social and economic concepts with clarity, warmth, and creativity. You will play a central role in shaping a vibrant humanities program that prepares students for success in a globalized world.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge (CIE) curriculum across Middle and High School.
Specialized Content:
Teach a combination of Geography, Economics, and/or Business Studies at the IGCSE and A Level.
ELL Support:
Design and implement differentiated materials that allow English Language Learners to access rich subject content without compromising academic rigor.
Collaborative Development: Partner with an experienced humanities team to refine schemes of work, assessments, and cross-curricular initiatives.
Community Engagement: Contribute to the wider school culture through staff meetings, supervisory duties, and leading extracurricular activities.
Requirements
Job Requirements
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Economics, Business, or a related Humanities field.
Certification:
A valid teaching license is required (essential for work visa processing).
Experience:
At least 2 years of teaching experience is required. Experience teaching IGCSE and A Level is preferred but not essential.
Pedagogical Skill:
Strong ability to differentiate instruction and a commitment to modern, enquiry-based teaching methods.
EAL Proficiency:
Experience or formal training (CELTA/TESOL) in supporting students with developing English proficiency is highly valued.
