School Overview

Westlake Christian School is the premier Christian school in northern Pinellas, southern Pasco, and western Hillsborough Counties in Tampa Bay, Florida. Westlake serves children who are in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade on its campus. In addition, the campus provides a preschool program for children ages two through four as well as a full service before and after school care program. Westlake's attendance includes approximately 500 students in the K-8 program.

School History

In an effort to provide private, high quality Christian school education in the area, Westlake Christian School was established on a strong Christian foundation in 1995. Through the combined efforts of many people, Westlake grew from its original kindergarten class steadily over the years eventually to include kindergarten through eighth grade with its first class of eighth graders graduating in May of 2004. Westlake is accredited by the the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), which includes the Florida Kindergarten Council, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS/Cognia). Westlake is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
