Description
New Covenant Christian School is seeking a full-time middle school and high school History teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. There may also be an opportunity for another Humanities-oriented class or two as well. In History, we teach the stories of Western Civilization and American History through a God-focused, classical foundation. Though we have curriculum and resources, we allow a teacher's unique passions and areas of interest to also come through the content, providing an atmosphere of exploration, application, flexibility, and joy in learning and teaching.
As a discipleship-centered school, our teachers are asked to not only teach content but also apply it in order to disciple students and equip them to build God’s Kingdom. Requirements
Some job requirements include:
- A confession of faith
- Engagement in a local church
- Relationally connect with students beyond the academic content
- Model Christ in word and deed
- Integrate biblical passages and principles
- An undergraduate degree, preferably in the subject area
- A strong commitment to biblical Creationism
In addition, our teachers must:
- Quickly and clearly communicate with parents and administrators
- Be able to teach to various learning styles
- Update an online gradebook
- Keep an organized and clean classroom
- Be willing to learn and be flexible
