The responsibilities of the position are to be performed in accordance with the provisions of the Acacia ‘Employment Contract’ & the ‘Terms of Service’.
Job Purpose To carry out the duties of Social Studies Teacher under the direction of the School Director and the Principal. To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education and Christian witness.
Main Duties and Responsibilities Typically as a Social Studies Teacher, you will be required to:
Have experience of teaching across all ages, including middle school and high school and exam classes. Have a love of the subject(s). Have a high regard for the learning environment and resources. Aspire to be a talented, dynamic and ambitious teacher who will ensure good progress for all students. Have the ability to inspire, engage, and enthuse students. Be skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning. Use technology to deliver the curriculum. Be able to develop, plan, and deliver effective and high-quality learning experiences to all students. Be an aspirational professional who is enthusiastic, influential, and committed to working in pursuit of excellence for Acacia International School and its learners. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related subject
2 years of teaching experience in middle and/or high school
